BREAD SELLER MISTAKENLY DISCOVERED... GREW INTO AN OVERNIGHT MODEL TRENDING ON SOCIAL MEDIA

A few weeks back when Tinie Tempah visited Nigeria, ace photographer TY Bello met up with the British-Nigerian rapper for a This Day Style magazine photo shoot and it was quite a refreshing look. It was done on the streets of Lagos and along the line a bread-seller was somehow caught in the mix. She has since found her way into the glossy pages of magazine fame and Nigerian social circles discussions.

News about Tinie Tempah, Ty Bello photo shoot and bread seller who became famous on Instagram, TY Bello said of the photo session and how the pretty bread seller that stepped in at the right time, though unplanned, bringing magical brilliance to the set: “I’ve photographed so many international celebrities in this town.. From Beyonce to Arnold Schwarzenegger … I was looking through my archives the other day and said to my self .. Never again..! Never in some fancy hotel room that could have been anywhere else on the planet . There’s no where like Lagos and If they ever cross my path again I’ll drag them out to where they can touch and feel My Lagos . .. And fall in love with it.

“So of course when I was asked to meet up with tiniegram at his hotel I was like ..Lai-Lai!! Abeg bring the man to Yaba and let’s shoot this something! “I love lagos..I won’t lie.. The streets are a literal Photographer’s paradise.. Every where you turn there’s a story waiting to be told, textures waiting to be shot and characters waiting to be explored..it’s hard for me to make a bad picture when my spirit is really open on the streets..I can just stand there and magic walks into my frame. “The beautiful bread seller in the red dress in one of my edits for instance ..You know her Abi? That one that everyone on the street wants to marry .. She’s fine and she knows it. its all over how she walks and I know you’ve seen her before.

“She walked onto our set and magic happened ..it wasn’t planned at all ..I didn’t even know I nailed the narrative until I edited a few days later.” In the wake of this, TY talked about the coincidence of shooting with the bread seller especially in the wake of the buzz it has recently generated online. She went on to explain that the lady happened to walk past when the shoot was going on and it all happened so fast.

She also explained how she would go on to try and find the lady as she is so beautiful and fitting she should be a model. As luck would have it, a few days later she found the lady – a 27-year-old mother of two. TY immediately shared details of this on her Instagram on Wednesday February 3 saying: “So I found her …our beauty from the @tiniegram shoot and boy have I got a fantastic story to share with you all. Right here is an amazing 27yr old mother of two , Jumoke Sunday with an incredible life story .I called on three amazing artists @bimpeonakoya for beautiful makeup .. @zubbydefinition for hair and @emaedosio to make a short documentary about her .. Every one gave a yes !on the spot.

“They were all at the studio within an hour and we had the most amazing shoot with her. I’ve also spoken to a few people about the best way to help move her forward and reunite her with her family.

She doesn’t speak English well but here ,she was explaining how she found us.

“I had sent an assistant , as many of you advised ,to leave a message with the people in the area where we photographed her… So here she is .. #Olajumoke #tybellophotography #findingjumoke #thebeginning.” The story kept gaining momentum and the buzz kept simmering into a delicious meal of sorts online, something like a Nollywood classic. Sunday February 7, Olajumoke Orisaguna the street seller turned ‘model’ is on the path to further prominence as she has appeared on the This Day Style magazine cover. Reports also say a documentary on her story thus far is already in the works, it is reportedly being handled by Ema Edosio. Olajumoke’s has been quite an interesting journey so far, don’t you think?

Khloe Kardashian & James Harden Break Up: Couple Split ‘Weeks Ago’ — Report

“She dumped him weeks ago,” a source told Us Weekly. Oddly enough, Khloe, who started dating James in July 2015, recently called him a “great” boyfriend, so it seems strange that she’d dump him. “James has been great. He’s been very supportive with everything,” she told Ryan Seacrest in November. “I’m sure there was, of course, times that he was uncomfortable with some of the things, but I’m a very honest person and I have nothing to hide.… He’s been great and I’ve been open and honest.” At this time, there’s no explanation for the breakup, but it’s possible that Khloe may have wanted to focus all of her attention on helping her estranged husband, Lamar, recover after nearly dying in October. Khloe actually spent Super Bowl Sunday by Lamar’s side, Kim Kardashian revealed on Feb. 7. And on that very same day, Khloe posted an Instagram message with a caption that claimed “everything happens for a reason.” Could she have been referring to her breakup with James? It sounds like it! And maybe it did happen for a reason. Perhaps Khloe and Lamar are supposed to reconcile, after all. Wouldn’t that be nice?

DMX COLLAPSE... UNCONSCIOUS

DMX denies taking any powder or drugs. He says all he remembers is having shortness of breath after suffering bronchitis for a couple of days. A family member says X asked for his inhaler (for asthma) right before he fell unconscious. They were not able to get it to him in time. He's still in the hospital. DMX was at death's door Monday night, not breathing, without a pulse and the signs point to an overdose. It's a lot worse than the story DMX's people were putting out ... that he suffered an asthma attack.  Yonkers cops responded to a call about an unconscious male at a Ramada Inn just after 6 PM. We're told when cops arrived DMX was on the ground in the parking lot next to a parked car. Cops quickly determined he was lifeless, not breathing with no pulse and immediately began CPR. After a minute of CPR X's pulse came back. A witness on scene told cops DMX had ingested some sort of powder before lapsing into unconsciousness. Cops gave him Narcan, an antidote to narcotic ODs. DMX became "semi-conscious" and was taken to the hospital. We're told DMX appears to be in stable condition and at this time, no criminal charges are expected.

Short story ... cops saved his life.

EXCLUSIVE) Ciara Sues Future For 15 Million: He’s trying to ruin my career

Ciara is livid with her ex-fiance & baby daddy Future for spreading lies about her being a bad mother to the public and she has slapped him with a lawsuit –asking the judge to order him to refrain from negatively speaking about her and stop trying to ruin her career, along with demanding 15 million dollars in damages from the rapper. Ciara filed suit against Future in Georgia Court on January 21st accusing him of defamation, slander and libel. The singer says that she is bringing this lawsuit due to several false and defamatory statements made by the rapper in the press over the past year about her, all involving their son Future. Ciara says that Future has – over the past year – published numerous false and defamtory statements regarding her which contain several misrepresentations regarding her conduct and character. She says Future knew the statements were false and didn’t care about the consequences she would suffer as a result. The singer accuses her ex-fiance of lying about her publicly to increase interest and publicity for his upcoming musical endeavors, namely the release of his upcoming album and tour. Ciara blasts Future saying he purposefully published lies about her on his Twitter account, social media and other interviews to destroy her reputation as a good mother, to diminish her brand and to impair her professional career in the entertainment industry. The suit adds that Ciara respects and recognizes Future’s right to free speech under the first amendment of the Constitution. However, he doesn’t have free reign to say whatever he wants knowing what he is speaking is untrue. Ciara informs the court she is a well-known, successful, recording aritst, songwriter, producer, performer and entertainer along with actress and has a huge fan base around the world. The singer also describes herself as a pillar of her community and extremely active with community service and philanthropy and she says she’s known as a great mother. The suit explains that the parties were in a highly publicized romantic relationship given their celebrity status. The two gave birth to their son in 2014 but their relationship ended around September 2014 after the birth of Future. Ciara says after numerous attempts to arrange custody, child support and visitation she had to file a claim against him in another state for support.

HOW PRIVATE CRECHE AND PRESCHOOLS MAY BE KILLING YOUR KIDS

The case of Darasimi highlights the danger many children in crèches, nursery and primary and even secondary schools are exposed to by school administrators and teachers who care about nothing more than the money their schools are making. For some families, by the time they know the truth about the dangers their children are exposed to at school, it is too late.
This was the case of Mr. David Adeboye (not real name) who lost his son to the wicked antics of the teachers at a day-care in Lagos a few weeks ago. Both Adeboye and his wife are busy career parents in Lagos, who realised they needed to enrol their child in a crèche as they were out of the house for most part of the day, it was learnt. Few weeks ago, Adeboye received a call from his son’s school. The boy of less than two months old was deadWracked by grief and having lost his son in a controversial circumstance, he called for an autopsy of the boy’s body. That was when the doctors made a grim discovery, A family source who is familiar with the case told our correspondent, “The autopsy result showed that the boy had been consistently fed a sleeping drug over a period of time. The parents did not know the crèche was putting the children in their care to sleep with the use of sleeping drugs in order to give the teachers a respite from their regular crying. “Over time, the drug was said to have overwhelmed the boy’s system to the extent that he slept in the crèche and never woke up again.” The case is ongoing and the source did not want the names of the school and parents mentioned at the moment. Putting children to sleep with drugs is a fairly common practice, although highly illegal, among day cares and crèches in the country.
A parent was searching for a kindergarten for her child, she was told by her friends to avoid the ones where teachers drug pupils rather than go through the stress of controlling them.
The woman, Mrs. Michelle Fijabi, whose son is now five and in a primary school, said she agreed with her husband that their child should be able to speak before he was enrolled in school after they were told about such practices. She said, “At least, a child who can speak would be able to tell you what happened in school. When I heard about the drugging of little children to put them to sleep, it scared me. “We were actually looking for a kindergarten at the time because we were both working. But we had to later look for a house help to stay with our child in the house while we went to work. “Even despite that, we still had to plead with a neighbour to help check on our child once in a while so that the house help too wouldn’t endanger his life.” She explained that when she eventually decided to enroll her child in school, she specifically looked for safety and cleanliness in schools she considered. Mrs. Victoria Osagie, who narrated how the daughter of her friend came home with a fracture from school without the knowledge of the mother. Osagie, who is also a teacher in a private primary school, said, “The child fell down from a bed in the crèche and broke her arm. The teachers just parked her up and said nothing when the mother came to pick her up. “It was when she was flinching at any slight touch of the arm when the mother was bathing her at home that she realised something was really wrong. When they took her to the hospital and confirmed she had a fracture, the child had to wear a Plaster of Paris for about eight months. Some crèches are very dangerous.” Some crèches go to the extreme length of tying the leg of a child they perceive as excessively troublesome to a chair. As outrageous as this may sound, a young petty trader, who witnessed this in a crèche at Iju area of Lagos said, “Sometimes I go from school to school showing my customers new shoes to sell. I went to the crèche to deliver a pair of sandals when I saw a child’s leg tied with a piece of cloth. “I thought it was a form of punishment and wondered what the child did. But one of the teachers said the child was always crawling outside and almost hit his head on a step. The teacher was so tired of running after the child that she tied one of her legs with a long piece of cloth and attached it to the leg of a chair.” A child protection expert, Mr. Akinropo Akinola, who also reacted to the story of Darasimi, the caustic soda victim, voiced his concern about child abuse and negligence in Nigerian schools. “When you think all is well with our child protection policy in most private schools, this cancerous menace of negligence will rear its ugly head again. The child abuse and the sheer neglect of the protection of the interests of the child continued progressively and habitually unabated, unchecked and has surfaced before our very eyes,” he said. The issue of teacher-perpetrated abuse of children in schools raised by Akinola was at the centre of the case of a three-year-old girl, Haliya Abolore, who died from burn injuries at the Gbagada General Hospital, Lagos on November 4, 2015. Haliya was reportedly forced by her class teacher to sit on a hot water container as a punishment at a private school in Idoluwo Street, Dosunmu, Lagos Island. The police are still investigating the case.
Experts speak on ‘schoolpreneurs’ Akinola said some of the Nigerian private primary schools don’t seem to understand that a learning institute is for the growth and development of children. “Everything to them starts with profit and ends with profit, without the corresponding value-based productive inputs. Only the lucky pupils suffer bodily attacks. The unlucky ones may not live to tell what fate has brought them in the hands of ‘schoolpreneurs’,” the child protection expert said. Highlighting the lapses that led to the severe caustic soda injuries of Darasimi, Akinola said there was no justification for setting up a soap making shop within the school premises, let alone in the classroom. He also highlighted the following lapses of the boy’s school among others, “Flagrant display of objects and lethal chemicals capable of injuring pupils unknowingly; the insensitivity of the teacher to the plight of the boy when he was crying for water; inhuman nature of the staffers in failing to inform the parents of the boy immediately the incident happened; open display of child care ignorance on the part of the proprietress as reflected in her lame attitudes and excuses towards the medical attention of baby Darasimi. As of the time of filing this report, no concrete efforts have been made by the school authorities to alleviate the plight of the ailing boy, even good enough to support the meagre earnings of Darasimi’s parents.” He said there is need for private schools to have a Child Care Protection Policy paper, which parents must ask for before enrolling their children. Exective Director of Project Alert on Violence Against Women, Dr. Josephine Effa-Chukwuma, who also reacted to Darasimi’s case, wondered why such a dangerous chemical should be anywhere near children. She said, “Why would a teacher leave caustic soda around a class with little children running around and touching things? “First of all, the teacher who had the immediate responsibility of caring for the child should be arrested and prosecuted along with the school proprietor or proprietress. She should be made to pay all the medical bills of the child. The school should be closed down until school inspectors from the ministry of education inspect it.” Executive Director of the Christianah Fate Foundation, Mrs. Christianah Akindolie, said there is need for parents to pay occasional unscheduled visits to the schools of their children in order to see what is going on in such schools. She said child protection is one of the most important things a school should accord consideration. Akindolie stated, “For instance, in the case of Darasimi, I realised that the school administrator informed the parents about the soap making and none of them raised any eyebrow. This shows that they don’t even have their children in mind. “Before parents enrol their children in any school, they should consider the environment and ensure that it is conducive. Are the teachers trained in child protection? What about electrical fittings? Are they safe for children? “If the government is not doing enough to conduct regular inspections to ensure private schools are safe(which they should), parents should take it upon themselves to look out for things that may harm their children. “People don’t pay attention to little things. Even the chairs are important. Some children sit and their legs are hanging above the ground. That is not good when you have to sit for many hours. Their feet have to be on the floor. These are the little things that affect the performance of children in school.” Parents shifting responsibility to day cares. However, as reactions to the ill-treatment of children by nursery schools have been harsh, some experts have also opined that more parents now shift their biological responsibility of nurturing their children while they are still young to schools. They say this is why many parents would rush off their children to school before the children can even walk.
One of such experts, Mr. Taiwo Akinlami, a lawyer and child protection specialist, explained that it is unfortunate that schools are taking over the primary care of children. He said, “There are four rings of child protection. They are the family, community, state and the international community. The community cannot play the role of the family while the international community cannot play the role of the state. The main responsibility of the last three rings is to strengthen the family, which is the primary caregiver. “The community, where the school is located, cannot play the role of the family because its role is to strengthen the family. Unfortunately the society is upside down. The community is taking over the primary care of children. “I know parents cannot stay with their children all day long. The issue is not really about whether parents take a child to a nursery school or crèche at a tender age. The issue is whether such parents do due diligence before deciding where to put their children. “The main reason some parents put their children in nursery school or crèche is proximity, it does not matter whether the teachers are pedophiles or abusers or criminals. “Parents are not even aware of the things to consider before putting their children in school. For instance, it has become globally important for any establishment dealing with children to have training in child protection. Many parents don’t know what questions to ask when they take their children to a school. If what you call ‘good school’ is a place where you take and abandon your child, that is not a good school. A good school is one you take your child to and you partner with them in caring for the child.”

EkitiGate: Tope Aluko Presents Evidence, Claiming It Ekiti Election Was Rigged

– Dr. Tope Aluko, ex-ally to Gov Fayose claims a sum of $35million was given to the governor by ex-president Goodluck Jonathan to rig the Ekiti 2014 governorship election.

– Aluko also claims Ifeanyi Ubah, the CEO of capital oil, gave Fayose the sum of $2million to prosecute the primary election.

Mr Tope Aluko on sunday gave a breakdown on Channels Television how the election was rigged in favour of the PDP governorship candidate, now Governor, Ayodele Fayose. Explaining a process he alleged was used in rigging the election, he said: “Before the Primaries, we had this believe that because Jonathan was coming out for second term and because we are going to be the first election in the south-west, at a meeting, we told him (former President Goodluck Jonathan) that north-east, north-west and north-central may not be too sure for him because the Hausas are clamouring for presidency and that you now have south-east and south-south, you must manage the south-west”. “It was on the basis of that that we told him that he must manage south-west. “Because of his interest, even before winning the primaries, we did so many security reports to tell Mr President then that he must make sure that we manage south-west zone and it was because of that that he gave us the head of security agencies,” the PDP member said. He said that the Minister for State for Defence and Minister of Police Affairs were made to give attention to the election because “we know that APC was everywhere in the southwest and we must naturally capture part of southwest if we want to balance what our brothers in the north were likely to bring on”. Mr Aluko had testified at a lower Tribunal held to look into the election held last year, but he denied saying at the lower Tribunal that the election was not rigged. He said that there was an agreement to take out some members of the All Progressive Congress to ensure that they do not give adequate support to their members. The incumbent Governor was an APC member. “There was a strike team, a mixture of the DSS, military, the mobile police… that is about all. “We had a meeting at Aso Rock on security and funds. We were given security and funds. He listed the persons at the meeting to include the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces the former PDP chairman, Adamu Mu’azu, Governor Fayose and himself (Aluko). “At the meeting President Jonathan agreed that if he needed Ekiti, he would support us to ensure that we delivered. “At the second meeting we had Obanikoro, Jelili, Omisore… It was a combination of Osun and Ekiti people and they were discussing how we were going to move to take the south-west. “Before the primaries, His Excellency, Ayodele Fayose, said that we can only win using the military. “Then we came up with a plan about May,” he alleged. When asked if his revelations were not a betrayal to Governor Fayose, who was his ally, he said there were not a betrayal, insisting that Governor Fayose betrayed him first after they swore by the bible on some agreements reached. “We swore on the arrangement that we had before we embarked on the political venture. “Him (Fayose) becoming the Governor, myself becoming Chief of Staff and Honourable Femi Bamisile becoming the Deputy Governor,” he explained, dismissing claims that he was coming out with the truth because he could not get what was agreed. “For the military to indict its members because of the election of a state you will know that what I am saying is not a lie.” He referred to a leaked audio mentioned by a military official that was at a meeting he attended, which was subsequently leaked on the internet, saying it was genuine and not doctored. Mr Aluko also said that some monies in hard currency were giving as the funding for the Ekiti governorship election. “That was the money given to the strike team. It was One million per Hilux van per day and they worked for three days,” he said, giving the sum as 132 million Naira. Countering Mr Aluko’s claims, a spokesman to the Governor of Ekiti State, Lere Olayinka, said he was not surprised that Mr Aluko would make such claims, insisting that he (Aluko) was of an unstable character. He further claimed that Mr Aluko had been involved in different crimes, ranging from admission racketeering, issuance of certificates to students while he was a lecturer. “If he comes here to say some of these things, you should just laugh it off. He had said it by himself that he was here to say all these because Governor Fayose did not make him the Chief of Staff. If he received a call that he had been appointed as the Chief of Staff, he will come back here to say that all he said was not true,” he stressed, insisting that people should only be believed if they have integrity. Mr Olayinka further stated that Mr Aluko had appeared before a Tribunal to say that the election in Ekiti was not rigged, insisting that the documents presented by Mr Aluko were put together by him.

THISDAY PUBLISHER, NDUKA OBAIGBENA SURRENDERS... TO REFUND N500M

The publisher of THISDAY Newspapers, Mr. Nduka Obaigbena may have surrendered himself to the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) over his alleged involvement in the arms deal scandal for interrogation. He allegedly received N500 million from the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA) in the wake of last year general elections. However, Obaigbena had in a letter to the anti-graft commission claimed he received the money on behalf of the Newspapers Proprietors Association of Nigeria (NPAN), and as a compensation for the bombing of THISDAY premises Abuja by the Boko Haram terrorists. The disclosure of names of other newspapers that also benefitted from the largesse has made some to return the N9m given for the loss suffered in the wake of impounding some newspapers by the military last year before the election. He has promised to return his own share of N500 million Naira

HOW BANKS DEFRAUD NIGERIANS DAILY

It's high time we look into this Forex racket in Nigeria. Today at exactly 9am, I walked into Diamond Bank Maryland branch to do a MoneyGram transfer. As a good and law abiding Nigerian I stayed on the queue and waited my turn. I got to the cashier and asked to send dollars only for her to tell me "We have exceeded our daily limit". I was so shocked and wasted no time in asking how possible it was to have exceeded daily limit as early as 9am, she replied saying "madam it’s not our fault we have exceeded our limit for the day you can come back tomorrow". I was so livid but kept my cool and approached another colleague of hers whom am quite familiar with, she advise i try another bank because their branch has never succeeded in sending MoneyGram. Of course I rushed to a nearby Bank, where after wasting 30 minutes of my time waiting for the Forex cashier to appear told me what i dint want to hear "madam we have exceeded our limits even our boss want to send dollars out but we can't seem to send, it is unavailable". This got me thinking, who has actually succeeded in sending dollars from Nigerian Banks? Who is this mysterious person or persons that wakes up before 9am to exhaust the dollars in the banks? Everyone I know can’t seem to send dollar out but this banks always seem to have exceeded their daily limits before 8am. This brings me to my point, Aren’t this banks running a racket here. It seems like they are reselling dollar to the highest bidder? I think the banking sector as a whole be probed because this crazy margin between the black market rate and official rate has made some bankers very rich. The EFCC had better shine their light on the big racket going on in the banking industry.

ROB KARDASHIAN AND BLACK CHYNA DATING

Rob Kardashian, Blac Chyna
In addition to getting back into shape after receiving his diabetes diagnosis, the reclusive Keeping Up With the Kardashian star also seems to have found a new romance. E! News can confirm that Rob is dating Blac Chyna, but it's a tad complicated. Some people feel she is "preying" on Rob "during a weak time." The source is also concerned that she is only using him to get back at Kylie Jenner. Kylie and the model have been rumored to be feuding for a long time, given Chyna's previous relationship with rapper Tyga. She and Tyga share one child together. Kylie and Tyga have been on-again, off-again for a little while now. As for how Rob and Chyna made it official despite his tendency to stay indoors over the past year, the source tells us, "She and Rob have known each other for a while and she had been staying in touch."

Chyna first sparked rumors when she posted a photo of her cuddling with Rob, but he was cut out. All that could be seen was his tattooed arm. "The beginning," she captioned the pic. Rob has been staying out of the spotlight after his health took a turn and he gained more than 100 pounds. Khloe Kardashian has opened up about her brother's struggles and why she believes he spiraled into such a dark place. "I don't think he blames any of us. We talk about stuff all the time. I think Rob hit a dark place more so dealing with my dad's death," she explained on Watch What Happens Live when a caller asked if Rob blames his family. "His wish was always for Rob to go to college. When Rob finished that, okay what do I do next? He had no direction. I think he felt lost there." She continued, "Then breakups and all this stuff happened, which I think added to other things in his life." Hopefully fans will start to see Rob again soon, as mom Kris Jenner told Maria Shriver that he's looking to return to life in front of the cameras. "He wants to still come back and shoot the show, he just wants to feel good," Kris explained. "It's not that he doesn't want to be on the show, it's just he wasn't feeling good."

Kanye West and Wiz Khalifa’s bizarre Twitter feud

But as Kanye gears up to release Waves, his eighth studio album (formerly known asSwish), he's been causing a stir on Twitter by teasing his upcoming album in ways both inscrutable and deliberately provocative. On Wednesday, he channeled some of his infamously prolific energy toward Wiz Khalifa in a rant that continued for more than 30 tweets. As is typically the case with Kanye, the rapid-fire dispatches were alternately hilarious, poignant, disappointing, and deeply confusing. So what the hell did it all mean, anyway? Wiz Khalifa challenged Kanye West's decision to rename his forthcoming album. When Kanye posted that he was changing his album title from Swish to Waves, Wiz tweeted that it would co-opt the "wavy movement" — a more chill, smoother brand of hip-hop with sung hooks — pioneered by rapper Max B.

Wiz tweeted that Max B created "the wave," and that "there is no wave without him."

Kanye tweeted, "All respect to [producer] Andre Harrel and Max B."

Wiz, not buying it, replied with a terse, "Yea aight." And the beat goes on.
But Kanye only went off because he thought Wiz was tweeting about Kim Kardashian. (He wasn't.) Several hours after tweeting about Kanye ripping off Max B, Wiz tweeted the following: Kanye, fresh off Wiz's recent accusations, assumed Wiz was still talking about him and that "kk" stood for "Kim Kardashian." He responded in kind — and then some.

Here are some "highlights":

The thing is, Wiz wasn't actually talking about Kim Kardashian — he was talking about Khalifa Kush, his own branded marijuana strain. So Kanye was wrong. He soon realized this and promised to delete his disparaging statements about Wiz, the better to promote "good energy, positive energy." Performing damage control "within the hour" isn't fast enough to make people forget your weirdo tweets, especially when you're Kanye West. You could practically hear the frantic snaps of screenshots being captured (mine included) as people watched the tweets roll out.  This is the world we live and type in now. So while we're here, we might as well break down what Kanye actually said. The good great best that's ever been in this world ever of Kanye's Twitter rant. As Kanye went to work dismantling Wiz limb by gangly limb, he still made time to share some truly bizarre tangents that, out of context, are pretty great. The best, by a mile, was when Kanye paused his anger to compliment Wiz's style, and more specifically, his pants:
Bonus points, I suppose, for using a meme of his own wife's crying face to make a point (or something approaching a point, anyway). The one tweet that will inevitably rise in triumph from the ashes of this bizarre debacle should have also been Kanye's mic drop:
Whether or not you agree that Kanye is the greatest artist of all time, this tweet is, objectively, one of history's very best. Sadly, in between complimenting Wiz's pants and reaffirming his self-proclaimed status as the greatest artist to ever walk the face of this godforsaken Earth, Kanye had to go and drag Wiz, his music, and his family through the mud. The bad and the ugly of Kanye's Twitter rant: Kanye made it personal. Kanye believed that Wiz was personally attacking his wife, and he was not about to let that happen. Unsurprisingly, the ensuing (one-sided) conversation almost immediately got ugly. After dissing Wiz's music ("corny as fuck"), Kanye went all in on insulting Wiz's complicated relationship with Amber Rose, as well as the child they have together. The key thing to remember here is that Amber Rose is also Kanye's ex-girlfriend; they dated from 2008 to 2010. It's safe to say there's no love lost between the two — mostly because whenever Kanye talks about her, it goes something like this:
Independently of what Wiz said — or, in this case, didn't say — this is a pretty disgusting way to talk about a woman and child. And it's far from the first time Kanye has dismissed Amber Rose as just some gold-digging stripper. In February 2015, during Khloe Kardashian and Amber rose's twitter beef he even said he "had to take 30 showers" between dating Amber Rose and Kim Kardashian — although when you consider that two years passed between his breakup with Amber Rose and the start of his and Kim's relationship in 2012, that isn't actually that many showers. No matter what, it was a gross thing to say, and the comment actually inspired Amber Rose to throw a "SlutWalk" in October 2015, aiming to fight back against derogatory statements against outwardly sexual women like herself. This time, Amber Rose made sure to have the last word: Kanye has deleted this particular Twitter rant, but more will inevitably spring up in its place. Reading any Kanye rant is an exercise in frustration. For every hilarious "#Wizwearscoolpants" tangent, there's usually a more insidious "you let a stripper trap you" lurking not far behind. When Kanye speaks his truth, he speaks all of it — for better and for worse. So even though Kanye has deleted all of his tweets about Wiz and Wiz's family, apologized for the misunderstanding, and pledged that he's all about "positive energy blessings blessings positive energy blessings", this is the internet, and he is Kanye West. This incident will live on forever — or at least as long as people care about it — in Google's very deep memory. And while there might be no explaining Kanye West, this tweetstorm's tangled web of ego, personal history, and hot-tempered attacks comes pretty damn close.

Eritrea orders men to marry two wives or be jailed

Eritrean men have been asked by the government to marry more than one wife or risk being jailed for life. This is contained in a statement in Arabic by the Grand Mufti (the highest official of religious law in the country) which scanned copy surfaced on social media sites on Thursday last week. In the statement, Eritrea called for all men in the country to marry at least two wives and the government assured the men that it would pay for the marriage ceremonies and houses.According to the government, the order is because there is an acute shortage of men occasioned by causalities during the civil war with Ethiopia. The document, which could not be independently verified, warned that any man or woman who opposes the decision “will face a life sentence”. The document in arabic which is in Arabic, says, “Based on the law of God in polygamy, and given the circumstances which the country is experiencing in terms of men shortage, the Eritrean department of Religious Affairs has decided on the following: “First that every man shall marry at least two women and the man who refuses to do so shall be subjected to life imprisonment with hard labour. "The woman who tries to prevent her husband from marrying another wife shall be punished to life imprisonment.” More than 150,000 Eritrean soldiers were killed during the secession war from Ethiopia between 1998 and 2000.
