Nigerian rap artiste, Folarin Falana, popularly known as Falz has been announced winner of the Viewers’ Choice Best New International Act at the 2016 BET Awards. Falz beat competition from Section Boyz (South London), WSTRN (West London), Emtee (South Africa), Tkay (Australia) and MHD (France). Meanwhile, South African record producer and DJ, Black Coffee has beaten MzVee (Ghana), AKA (South Africa), Cassper Nyovest (South Africa), Diamond Platnumz (Tanzania), Serge Beynaud (Cote D’ivoire), Wizkid (Nigeria) and Yemi Alade (Nigeria) to win the Best International Act, Africa category. The presentation was done ahead of the main event which will take place at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, United States of America on Sunday, June 26. Born in 1990 in Lagos, Falz has albums including Stories That Touch, Karishika Part 2, Bants: Season 1 and Shakara: The Mixtape.
