This is coming just few days after she reacted angrily to fans who accused her of cheating on her ex-husband. The lifestyle writer says she feels bad that she is being accused wrongly and that this is all happening because she loved the wrong person….. The other day I lost my cool when I shud av ignored cos I let people who do not matter get to me. It got me trending in a way I did not like and that for me I can’t ignore. Till today, I get an unreasonable amount of hate for something I did not do. I ignore most times but this time I reacted. I’ve been thru a lot so sometimes I find them hard to ignore, maybe because Iv addressed it to the point that it feels like it will never go away. Iv been called every name in the book, bitch, attn seeker, etc simply because I loved the wrong person but still I held my head high choosing to carry on. I do my best to stay true to who I am and be a good person. Tho sum may deem it weakness, I’m a free spirit and av no problem baring my soul so yes I’ll admit, even though I’m strong, it sometimes gets to me. Not because their opinions matter but because I even have to deal with it in the first place and most of the time it feels surreal. I understand that not everyone will like me, so they will use anything they can against me. I probably wouldn’t care if it was something I actually did. Then I’ll accept that It is what it is. I wish I could explain the feeling of being wrongly accused in that magnitude. It’s like a million welts digging deep at your soul, and no one seems to understand you. To some it’s funny, to some it’s a headline, to me, it’s reassurance I have to give my son that a nasty rumor was badly mismanaged. It’s the explaining I will be doing in the years to come. It’s irritating when it keeps popping up and I have to turn the other cheek but I’m learning each day to always keep my cool. I’m happy and content but also human. Excuse me if I react sometimes to stupidity thrown in my direction.. God gave me a fresh start and for that I should be grateful.. Apologies if I disappointed anyone by clapping back…..I promise next time to try harder to ignore and hopefully this will be the last of it… Xoxo #Osha. Metuh tore confessional statement, says EFCC source
According to the report, the EFCC investigators discovered that Destra Investment Limited was used to fund the PDP’s activities, including its 2015 campaigns. The EFCC alleged that the company, which had N6, 676,576.06 as of November 24, 2014, ($26,706.3) recorded a balance of N1.4bn ($5,600,000) by last December. Some of the deposits in the account are N400m from the Office of National Security Adviser on November 24, 2014; N253m on December 2 and 4, 2014 from Ibrahim Kabiru, whose identity had yet to be confirmed; N91m on December 2, 2014 from Capital Field Investment; and N92m on December 3, 2014. Meanwhile, Metuh has said he will no longer speak to investigators about the N400m ($1,600,000) he collected from former President Goodluck Jonathan. He said rather, he would only speak in an open court. Metuh had admitted before the EFCC operatives that he received N400m ($1,600,000) from Jonathan, but refused to disclose what the money was meant for or for what job. In a statement by his Special Assistant, Ihediwa, in Abuja on Tuesday, Metuh claimed that he executed a project for the former President but refused to explain the job he executed for the ex-President that fetched him the huge sum. Metuh, who is said to be on hunger strike, said he would only disclose the job he did for the defeated former President in an open court. Ihediwa said, “In exercise of his rights, he has since given his statement to the EFCC wherein he submitted that he received the sum of N400m ($1,600,000) from the former President for an assignment, which he executed to the satisfaction of the former President. “In further exercise of his rights, Metuh has also indicated his readiness to make public the nature of this assignment, but only in an open court in line with the laws of the land, and where his statement would not be distorted by anybody.” Meanwhile, the caucus of the PDP in the House of Representatives has demanded the release of the PDP spokesperson from the custody of the EFCC within 48 hours. The Minority Leader of the House, Mr. Leo Ogor, a member of the PDP from Delta State, who spoke on behalf of the caucus, clarified that the demand did not mean that the lawmakers were against the anti-corruption war of the Federal Government. Ogor added, “We are not in support of corruption or any corrupt person, but due process must be followed. Metuh has been arrested and kept in detention for nine, almost 10 days, without trial. “We insist that he should be taken to a court of competent jurisdiction or granted an administrative bail as has been done in cases involving other persons.” The caucus recalled that like Metuh, former Kaduna State military governor, Brig.-Gen. Jafaru Isa, a “known associate” of President Muhammadu Buhari, was also detained by the EFCC for receiving N170m ($680,000) from former National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki. However, the PDP observed that in the case of Jafaru, he was granted bail soon after his arrest by the anti-graft agency.
“Isa Jafaru was granted bail after the EFCC chairman (Ibrahim Magu) visited Aso Rock. What does that tell us?” Ogor asked. The EFCC had said Isa was granted bail after he refunded N100m from the N170m he collected from Dasuki. Ogor added, “If you make a reference to the refund of money, then we have missed the point. The point is ‘why keep a man in detention endlessly without trial’? It is not the duty of the EFCC to direct anybody to refund money. That is the responsibility of the courts.’’
PDP’s National Legal Adviser, Mr. Victor Kwon, told one of our correspondents that he was not at the place where the incident allegedly happened. Kwon said, “I wasn’t there and I won’t want to react to hearsay. “Only those who were there can confirm or deny whether the incident took place or not.”

Saraki gave this assurance during proceedings on the floor of the Senate, following a Point of Order raised by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Senator, representing Abia South Senatorial District, Sen. Eyinnaya Abaribe, for the Senate to address the issue of the missing budget, which dominated the traditional and social media space since yesterday. Abaribe, quoting order 42 of the Senate Standing Rule, said the matter was discussed yesterday, during a closed door session of the Senate without feedback. But responding, the Senate President said: “It was agreed in the closed session yesterday, that the Senate will wait for a feedback from the committees assigned to look into the matter,” adding that “the feedback from the committees should be ready by tomorrow (Thursday).”

The Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office has declined to file criminal charges against Bill Cosby after evaluating two separate allegations of sexual assault. The first allegation involved a woman who reported that Cosby forced her to have sexual intercourse with him at a Hollywood Hills home in 1965 when she was 17 years old. Prosecutors noted that any charges were "barred by the statute of limitations." The second allegation involved model Chloe Goins, who accused Cosby of drugging and sexually assaulting her at the Playboy Mansion in 2008 when she was just a teenager. Prosecutors also cited the statute of limitations and "insufficient evidence" in declining to file charges in connection with the 2008 allegations. Goins told investigators in January 2014 that Cosby gave her a drink and drugged her in the process. She said she passed out that night and woke up naked with Cosby performing lewd acts. Goins said she came forward after hearing about other women describing abuse by Cosby and realizing she might have a valid criminal case. The L.A. County District Attorney's Office said in a charge evaluation worksheet that Goins had initially reported that the incident happened at an event called Midsummer Night's Dream Party, but she later said she was not sure if the incident happened at that event. When investigators reviewed video from outside the Playboy Mansion during the event, neither Cosby nor Goins were seen in any of the footage. They found evidence that Cosby was in New York the weekend that Midsummer Night's Dream Party happened, and in addition, Cosby did not appear on any guest lists for the 56 documented events at the Playboy Mansion during the summer of 2008. The worksheet states that Cosby's name "only showed on a guest list for one event in February." Investigators tried to interview Goins' friend, but the woman "denied knowing (Goins) or having ever visited the Playboy Mansion." "We are satisfied that the Los Angeles D.A.'s Office fully and fairly evaluated all the facts and evidence, and came to the right conclusion," Cosby's attorney Chris Tayback told ABC News. Cosby was arrested and charged with a decade-old sex crime last month in Philadelphia. The 78-year-old comedian was released on $1 million bail after answering to charges that he drugged and sexually assaulted a woman less than half his age at his suburban home. The case marked the first time Cosby has been charged with sexual misconduct despite years of lurid allegations. "Make no mistake: We intend to mount a vigorous defense against this unjustified charge, and we expect that Mr. Cosby will be exonerated by a court of law," his attorney Monique Pressley said in a statement.

The Lagos state government has come out to defend the recent demolition of Owonifari market, saying the decision was propelled by the trader’s attitudes. In a statement issued on Thursday, January 7, by the chief press secretary to the state government, Habib Aruna, a copy obtained by Naij.com, the government accused the traders of plying their wares within the notorious loop of Oshodi to the newly built ultra-modern Isopakodowo market in Bolade-Oshodi, noting that the action was taken in the overall interest of public good, safety and security. The state government said it constructed an alternative market stall for the traders which can conveniently accommodate over 600 shops and hundreds of kee Clamps, and agreed to subsidize payment by giving shops at the new market at a monthly give away price of N5, 000. Mr. Steve Ayorinde, commissioner for Information and Strategy said the traders were adequately notified before the exercise took place as required by law, and that government engaged with the leadership of the market severally before carrying out the demolition exercise on Owonifari market. Ayorinde while making further clarification said it was pertinent for people to note that the issue of the market had been on for more than ten years now, adding that government had been engaging the leadership of the market to make them realize that it could no longer continue in the manner in which the market was being used. He said the leadership of the market, in the last three years, refused to move despite the fact that the new market has over 600 shops apart from the kee clamps which takes the number of people that the market could conveniently accommodate to over a thousand all together. He said since government had already provided a befitting alternative, Governor Akinwunmi Ambode through the Commissioner for Local Government and Community Affairs, invited the leadership of the market to the Executive Chambers and met with them on December 16, 2015, where he reiterated his plans for Oshodi and the need to move the traders to Isopakodowo which as at that time had been ready for a couple of years. “A few of them expressed certain misgivings but largely they felt that if their interest would be accommodated within the Isopakodowo Market, that they were willing and ready to move and on our part, we said that the discussion should be ongoing particularly regarding how much they would pay for each store within that market. “After that, on Monday December 21, 2015, Governor Ambode went on a tour of that market area particularly at Isopakodowo in company with a few members of the Exco. Again, we met with the leadership of the market where it was eventually agreed based on the proposition by the leadership that what they were willing to pay for each shop at Isopakodowo was N5, 000
“There is nowhere in Lagos where you will agree to be paying N5, 000 per shop not to talk of the central Oshodi, but the Governor agreed with them and we said we were ready to concede after which we now formally served them with a quit notice through the office of the Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development,” he said. Ayorinde, however, denied allegation that many goods of the traders were destroyed in the demolition exercise, adding that such was far from the truth. “The intention of government certainly was not to destroy any goods and we did not destroy any goods because we believe that a good number of the traders, if not all, had moved because they were aware that they needed to move. “Government, I should say, will not be blackmailed because we had done everything humanly possible and you know that the hallmark of this government has been compassion. It is a compassionate government. “The intention was not to destroy the market or destroy properties or to make life inconvenient for them. We believe very strongly that Isopakodowo market is quite ideal; its a lot bigger store-per-store than where they had been removed now and the aim of government, as we stated earlier, is to ensure that that area of the market conforms with the type of image that we want Lagos to be, which is to return sanity to the place, to beautify the market, to construct a world class bus terminus around that place and to ensure that people who use that place on a daily basis – the commuters, traders, everybody enjoy what it means to go to a market in a mega city. “We also believe that the exercise will largely reduce the gridlock that is associated with that area and then the criminalities that were rampant in that Oshodi. What we have done is in the interest of the generality of Lagosians. “You will see from the reports that quite a good chunk of the traders acknowledged that they had been properly served and that they were ready to move which was why a good number of them, if not all, parked their things just before the end of last year.Wednesday, 6 January 2016
